What If Money Didn’t Exist, And People Traded Memories Instead?

Imagine walking into your favourite restaurant. And instead of asking for money, the person at the counter asks, "What memory would you trade today?"

Every birthday party. Every pizza. Every coffee. Every outing. It didn't cost you money. It cost you a moment of your life instead.

Would you be more careful? Guarding your happiness and favourite memories like they were treasures? Maybe the meaning of rich would be reversed. Instead of people living in mansions, rich would be the people having the most memories. The ones in those big villas? They'd probably be poor in this world. More than half their memories would be gone.

And if you brought somebody else's memory, would you even know it wasn't yours? Would you even realize what you remember is fake?

All scenarios described are fictional and purely imaginative.
