What If Emotions Were Contagious Like Colds?

What is the emotions spread like sneezes? One second, you were feeling depressed, and the next? Excited. Brimming with life. Why? All because another excited person sat down next to you.

And yet, the same would be true for anger. Imagine yourself feeling perfectly at peace and suddenly a frustrated person sat next to you. That would probably cause you to feel frustrated too. For reasons you won't be able to explain.

Would we hide our emotions in this world? Would schools get cancelled because of an emotional outbreak of severe stress? Would there be antidotes and vaccines for sadness? Too much excitement?

But, maybe, just maybe, the world already is like that. Well, to some extent anyway. Have you ever noticed if a person laughs in a stressful situation? It instantly lightens the tension. Or, if an actual frustrated person came along, interrupting your peace, you feel frustrated too.

So, if emotions could spread instantly, what emotion would you want to catch today?

All scenarios described are fictional and purely imaginative.
